DFA Marine Corp Table of Organization and Equipment

Historical perspective: Late 20th, early 21 century, before Eugenics war and WWIII.
This served as the basis for MACO, and later Starfleet Marine and thus DFA Marine organization.
Typically a battalion consists of 300 to 1000 soldiers and is divided into a number of companies. This is usually 4 companies and an office company.

Command Structure:
A lieutenant commands a platoon.
A captain commands a company
A lieutenant colonel or major typically commands the battalion.
Platoons
Platoons are usually 4 squads.
DFAMC Platoon: 4 squads x 5 marines = 20 +1 lt (Includes one Gunnery Sgt.)

Company
A Company consists of 4 platoons of 21 (84 Marines and 1 captain).
Four Sgts are included, At least one Gunny Sargent and one of which is a First Sgt.
DFAMC Company = 4 platoons (4x21) = (84+1=85) (Includes the gunnery Sgts, one of which is the First Sgt.)
(With technology automation, there is no need for clerical staff at this level)

Battalions
A Battalion is composed of 3 Companies and 1 commanding officer.
DFAMC Battalion = 3 x Company = 3 x 85 = 255 Marines + 1 Commanding officer (+ Battalion HQ (Staff))
(With technology and automation, Battalion HQ performs all 'paperwork' functions.)

The Battalion also has a Battalion HQ company. Staff up to 50, but can be expanded to 80, includes Recon, snipers, intel, other specialists, etc.
265th Battalion: In the 265th Battalion, there are two squads of snipers available to Lt Lockwoods and Lt Norris' platoons. There are also three squads of recon marines. They will be commanded by a Captain, who reports to Col. Reynolds. Heavy weapons detachments are also attached, but under the command of Major Banor, or the current Battalion commander.

Recon- 4 man squad Recon is now separate from companies, they are now their own billet. Used to be a company had their own recon platoon.

DFAMC Recon: elements are attached to the Battalion. A Recon Company is its own group and squads are distributed to the battalion from the recon battalion. Recon company is commanded by a Colonel, The Recon battalion by a general.
Platoons usually has a Gunnery Sgt as platoon lead enlisted, each squad will have a Staff Sgt or Sgt lead depends again on availability
First Sgt- is Company billet. He is responsible for the enlisted men and the Captain at the same time
Sgt Maj is a battalion billet again does what the first sgt does but at battalion level.
One thing LT's are usually good at, the ones that are smart anyways, is trusting the Gunny or Platoon SGT billet, remember those ranks have usually been around for 8-14 years they understand how things work. That's why a good LT listens.
Recon platoons and companies while having similar structure are different altogether:
That being said a recon platoon usually has an LT or a Captain if he's good, a Staff NCO and two enlisted it's an elite billet in the Corp at present. These will include the special MOS like sniper's and their spotters.
Most Recon company's are commanded by a Colonel. Captains, Majors, LT Col don't often get command of Recon
Snipers and spotters are again a different type of MOS they may be assigned to a company and platoon but will not always be billeted or on the same mission as recon teams.
Fighter Squadrons: 12-18
Wing: 2 squadrons
Support: Fleet engineering. +1 Ground crew chief per 4 fighters.
