Six of Twelve's Logs

Stardate : 2418.08

<Stardate 2418.08. Begin recording>

Colonel Reynolds, Jack West, Lini, Dr Clark and El returned from a parallel universe. Lieutenant T'Kar and Ensign Jardine were deactivated while there. Ensign Jardine was stabbed with a poisoned blade and, in spite of Dr Clark's attempt to repair him, was unsalvagable. Lt T'Kar was deactivated in a conflict during the away team's escape from the alternate version of Cromwell (designated Cromwell-A and then redesignated Warchief by the resistance movement the away team assisted). The away team's counterparts resisted our attempts to return them to their universe. The overall resistance quotient of the parallel individuals averaged at 0.7 with alternate universe Colonel Reynolds holding the highest resistance quotient at 0.79. He came very close to deactivating Six of Twelve but Thorn prevented this.Alternate versions of Jack West, Dr Clark, T'Kar and Carl Jardine were deactivated, alternate versions of Lini and Colonel Reynolds escaped deactivation but were captured by security. All alternate universe individuals and corpses were returned through the spatial anomaly which was sealed using warp particles.

Cromwell was hit by an alternate universe vessel when it got between the vessel and S'Task. It took considerable damage and was somehow transported to an unknown location. We do not know exactly how this occurred but it is logical to assume that the anomaly may have been involved. Cromwell's Warp core was unstable so Kit ejected it.The damage report for Cromwell was extensive (see attached data for details).

Six of Twelve was to assist with the recovery of units in danger of deactivation with a team of marines and Tas. Thorn was the command source for this group. There was a breach on Deck Ten. Several units had already been deactivated in the explosion and a number of others were damaged. Ensign Tas set up a triage on deck 10 for those unable to walk to sickbay as transporters were not functioning. Access to Ten Forward was blocked by debris, doors to quarters had been sealed shut and small fires had started across the vessel due to fire suspension programs not activating effectively. Six of Twelve prized open one of the doors with its organic hand, causing minor burn damage. The damage was insignificant but Thorn gave us a breaching tool to use in future. Thorn, Six of Twelve and the marines began moving the debris blocking Ten Forward to retrieve the individuals trapped inside.

Communications were inactive and beyond repair, life support was minimal and emergency power was running out. Commander Martis was able to prevent the deactivation of the DW units by using Six of Twelve's power to move them into a holocube, but this drained a lot of its power. Ensign Taylor created a portable regeneration unit for Six of Twelve which would operate on solar power. We had to abandon ship, leaving only the DWs onboard who could function without life support and with minimal power. <End Recording>

Attached to the report was an extensive damage record that recorded just about every system on Cromwell as broken or destroyed at the time of the abandon ship. Along with this was a casualty report which included hundreds dead or badly injured. Although all individuals had been accounted for at the time, there was a note on the log stating that Ensign Salvar had somehow been left behind. Six recorded this as an 'unexplained system error' that it could not explain.

Stardate : 2418.09

<Begin recording. Stardate 2418.09.> Six of Twelve landed on the planet alone. Class-M. Atmosphere breathable to most lifeforms. Vegetation and lifeforms detected in sustainable numbers. We expected Kit to be in the next escape pod but she was not. Instead, we found 6 subunits, Ensign El an individual designated Mary, not far from the site where Six of Twelve crashed. Mary's function aboard Cromwell was subunit maintenance.

We did not have time to look for any other units as we were attacked by 6 wolves. The wolves had an average resistance quotient of 0.6. We attempted to pet one of the wolves, like Smoke, but they were not receptive to this. We think that they just wanted to consume us. We deactivated 4 of the 6 wolves. The first two were deactivated with Six of Twelve's disruptor. One that jumped onto our prosthesis was deactivated by blunt force trauma, one escaped and the other was injected with (inactive) assimilation tubules. El destroyed the last one by snapping its neck when it attempted to deactivate Mary and the subunits. The wolves were deactivated efficiently.

<Pause Recording>
Several pages of wolf statistics were to follow this description. Six then moved on to the trip with K, including the Kidnapping of Toby and the buffalo masacar. It commented that individual children had difficulty following instructions but did adapt more efficiently to language than adults. Six described Fort Temperance and the purchasing of weapons and quarters. <Continue Recording>

After El went missing, Six of Twelve had no available command sources from Cromwell so we complied with Colonel Wigert who belonged to the 'Army'. We thought the Army were our allies, but Thorn later told us this was not the case. During our search for Toby we entered a village of individuals designated 'Indians' by the 'Army'. All individuals in the village were deactivated with the exception of one subunit we had intended on assimilating. We were informed that this unit escaped. The Army does not ordinarily assimilate even subunits, in spite of their low resistance quotient, because the units apparently do not assimilate correctly.

<Pause Recording> Six's next set of statistics were for the army on West World. It went on to describe its difficulty with horses, the trip back to the base and the Sargent who had died protecting it from the Indians along with a lengthy and gory description of all the village residents it had killed.<Continue Recording>

The Sargent produced a green light and left a silver nugget as all others who were deactivated had done. We found Kit at Fort Temperance. She instructed us to attempt negotiation with the Indians and went out shouting a message. The Indians did not comply with Kits negotiation. We suggested setting the grass on fire instead but this was not done because of its risk to the fort.We encountered Thorn here, she was with the Indians. She said that we must not deactivate any individuals who did not attack. Since everyone was attacking us, this command was easy to comply with. We deactivated 86 individuals with the projectile weapon we aquired and the sabour. The sword was more effective than the gun but we think we would have done better with the gun had it attached to our prothsesis. They do not have McEarny's cruches on West World. We attempted to negotiate with the Indians and Thorn said that we must not comply with any individuals from the planet. She explained that the Prime Directive prevented us from getting involved, although by that point we were already very much involved.

<Pause Recording> Six's next description was very long. It stretched over several pages and described the deactivation of every cowboy and Indian that had gotten in the drone's way. It was a gory mess but it was also clear that Six only played a relativly small part in that mess.<Continue Recording>

Kit was damaged when we found her, Mary, Thorn and the subunits. Thorn shot Lonewolf and we escaped the battle on horses. Six of Twelve did not ride a horse, we followed behind.

Stardate : 2418.10

<Stardate 2418.10. Begin recording>

We arrived at a town designated 'Deadrock'. We attempted to acquire currency at a shop but the shopkeeper ran away. We do not know why but we think that he was scared. We did not end up needing currency however, we got quarters at the hotel easily by removing one of the individuals already there.Six of Twelve was sent to retrieve Kit, Mary and the subunits from where they were waiting in town and to find a doctor for Kit's injury. We asked the inhabitants of the hotel lobby where a doctor was but instead of answering our question they began firing at us. We do not know why but we assume we must have been perceived as a threat. It is unlikely to be because we are Borg because none of the other individuals on this planet have been concerned by that.Thorn came downstairs to aid us in the deactivation of the individuals. We later found that these individuals belonged to a collective called the 'Wild Bunch'. With Thorn was a new member of Cromwell designated DJ Green and two individuals from West World. One of these individuals was deactivated during the fight, the other survived and Six of Twelve was sent again to get Kit and the others. It was decided that we would take the train to Salvation because the subunits were at risk of deactivation if we remained in Deadrock. We did not wish to leave Thorn and DJ Green but we were informed that this was the correct decision because it would a be a better use of resources to save seven units and leave two.

At the train station, we met an individual designated Tom who could communicate with us non-verbally. We still do not know how he did this but we had heard additional voices since landing on West World and have concluded that we likely heard the West World consciousness energy speaking too us. Six continued in its seemingly endless report, describing how Rose, Rose and DJ caught the train just in time. It also included schematics of the train and how it worked that were detailed enough to build one from.

Stardate : 2418.11

The first part of this 'chapter' was exceptionally long as Six of Twelve described the meeting of Cromwell's crew. It was so long because the drone recalled the entire event, including the descriptions it had given the rest of the crew which made this paragraph, essentially, a repeat of the last one.

<Stardate 2418.11. Continue recording> Kit, Martis and Tom were inefficient in deciding whether or not to bring the planet's inhabitants on the train with us.

<Pause recording> It was clear even from the drone's tone that it had not understood the need for the long moral debate at the train station and would have been quite as happy to take, leave or kill the people who were already on the train.<Continue recording>

Brinn appeared and instructed us to destroy the remaining Gatling Gun. He said that we must come back functioning. Six of Twelve and Lt Martis (additional designation 'Miss Security' stored) found tracks leading up a hill indicating the presence of the Gatling Gun and at least four individuals.Six of Twelve was instructed to create a 'diversion' (definition: diversion, stored). To divert attention from Lt Martis, Six of Twelve deactivated the four individuals defending the gun. While this happened Lt Martis set the dynamite Brinn had given us inside the gun and made it back to Six of Twelve on a horse. When she reached the designated point we fired at the dynamite and the gun exploded. Lt Martis had created additional time for us to escape the Wild Bunch bellow by letting their horses off their leads. <Pause recording> Six's description continued on with the confrontation over 'the price of leaving' and Brinn's silver. It stated that it had taken a piece of the silver without knowing what it was.

Stardate : 2418.12

Begin Log: Six of Twelve: Stardate 2418.12

The Christmas party was set on Earth during the Second World War this year. It was in France. We did not know at the time but we have found out that the simulation lead up to an event designated 'The Battle of the Bulge'. We gave out our gifts. A crystal from the Dyson Sphere for Brinn. The crystal is inactive but should we find a way of repairing it, it could be quite powerful. A rose necklace for Thorn because her designation is 'rose'. A recreation of the ship on West World created via descriptions from Tas and images stored in our ocular implant for Jack West and a hat for Captain Sesgaard from a deactivated unit on West World because he collects unusual items from our adventures.
Six of Twelve and Jack West went to explore the simulation. We found an individual designated Michael (a different Michael than Colonel Reynolds). He belonged to something called 'The Resistance'. We joined 'The Resistance'. We destroyed what we thought was a nazi weapon storage facility but there were no weapons there after all.
We watched a game called 'Poker' [Data Attached: Poker_Rules]. We did not entirely understand it. It was based on statistics. Certain sets of cards had a higher value than others. We think that the objective of the game was too move all currency to DJ Greene. That is what happened anyway.
DJ Greene did not believe in Santa Claus even though we told him that Santa Claus would come to Cromwell. Santa Claus did come to Cromwell and now DJ Greene believes. He gave Jack West a holocube in the shape of a boat, a ring and a ficus. Kit a torch. Six of Twelve a Marine Dress Uniform that has been adapted to fit around our implants. Dr Clark an ancient medkit and a ficus. Lt Tanith a whetstone and a ficus. Thorn a shirt. Smoke a turkey leg. Tas a book designated 'Sir William Osler's Bacilli and Bullets'. Lini and Kimberlly dresses. DJ Greene a Red Flyer wagon and a ficus. Desson a picture of an individual from West World. Azel pepper spray. Vedec Rabia, a headress with feathers. Martis an earring. Captain Sesgaard a holocube with Cromwell's photographs and a mistletoe and Colonel Reynolds a patch which said '101st Airborne'.
We were given ribbons and some of us had our command status updated [Data Attached_Ribbons]. Six of Twelve has been given three ribbons. Combat Injury, Duty Station Defense and West World Campaign. We think that this means Six of Twelve functioned well on West World.
Commander Martis came into the Bistro from outside and reported that Captain Sesgaard was deactivated. Additionally, there were threatening holodeck characters capable of leaving the holodeck. We were given instructions to get to a church where the enemy stored weapons and fuel. We must guard it from the 'Nazis' because should they escape the holodeck they would be of high threat. Six of Twelve, Kit and Jack West went to the Church. Jack West had to depart to assist Dr Clark in rescuing Colonel Reynolds who had been captured. Kit and Six of Twelve remained in the Church. We were soon surrounded by Nazis but they could not fire because if they did they would set their fuel on fire and the Church would explode [Data Attached: Resistance Quotients_Nazi Holograms, Inventory_Nazi Weapons]. We defended the door from those trying to enter by barricading it with furniture. Lieutenant Martis arrived to talk to the Nazi leader. We were to destroy the Church and then escape to the other side of the road before we deactivated. Chances of continued activation were 0.001… or so we thought. The program ended. Captain Sesgaard was still functional. The simulation was a 'test'. We do not know why we were not informed of this but the test was for Leuitenant Martis and she passed. Her new designation is Commander Martis.
*SECURITY LOCKED LOG ELEMENT*
Jack West informed Six of Twelve that Six of Twelve is genetically related to him. He was upset by this and angry. He was also upset and angry that his brother and sister in law had been assimilated. His brother's designation is Nine of Eleven and was still active when Six of Twelve was severed from the collective. His sister in law is likely inactive because it was on Probe 635 when it was destroyed. We are not to mention this relation. Security access codes, Captain Sesgaard or Jack West required for access. We must report any information about Nine of Eleven to Captain Sesgaard and Jack West.

Begin Log: Six of Twelve: Stardate 2419.03.08

We arrived on Chetzia for training on Stardate 2417.01.18. Sargent Brock then sent us back to New Kyushu to commence survival training. We were allowed to use our disruptor. We brought other weapons and supplies from Chetzia [Data Attached: Inventory_2417.01.18].

We arrived back on New Kyushu on Stardate 2417.01.24 and commenced survival training. Our submatrix consisted of 6 units. Dema: Species 5626. DJ Greene, Oliver, Matsuda: Species 5618. Joril: Species 867 and Six of Twelve: Borg.

Joril was a malfunctioning unit. He caused continuous disharmony for our submatrix. We set up our campsite and deactivated a snake. Snakes produce the emotion 'fear' for DJ Greene. DJ Greene and Six of Twelve went to collect food. When we returned we found the others were missing. Our search revealed them with Tas and Lieutenant Tanith at the edge of the forest. Dema and Matsuda were damaged. Injuries sustained were caused by falling down a hole and falling from a cliff. Tas began repairs on the damaged units when the proximity transceiver activated. A creature came into visual range.

Designation: Burein'ita: Height: 47.3cm. Length: 44cm. Estimated Mass: 3kg. Resistance quotient: 0.7. Assimilation worth: unworthy, probability 0.78. Brown fur. Long, furry tail. Brown eyes. Round ears. Pink nose. Lures prey with telepathic abilities and then consumes brain matter.

Joril was drawn towards to the Burein'ita. It pounced onto his head and released tubules from its mouth. The tubules broke his skin and the creature began consuming his brain.

Lt Tanith fired at the Burein'ita and Joril simultaneously stunning them both. Tas called for a repair team. The repair team arrived in an aircar and transported Joril, Matsuda and Dema to a repair facility within the closest town. Lieutenant Tanith was commanded to report to Captain Sesgaard. Six of Twelve, Oliver and DJ Greene returned to the woods to continue our survival training.

Six of Twelve collected food. It was a deactivated snake [Data Attached: Nutritional Analysis_Deactivated Snake] DJ Greene informs us that this is not 'real food' but we ate anyway. Oliver said that the food was acceptable. After sleeping, eating and regenerating we began again to traverse the forest. We were attempting to find the collection point to complete our mission. Our journey took us through territory belonging to an Ape; resistance quotient 0.5. Command issued. Source DJ Greene. Stand still. Six of Twelve complied. The ape sniffed us and then returned to the trees allowing us to pass.

A hurricane formed so we had to locate shelter [Data Attached: Class 6 Hurricane Variables]. We found a cave. Lifeforms detected. Ape; resistance quotient 0.5. Foxes; 2 adult and 4 juvenile, resistance quotient (collective): 0.46. All life forms were none threatening. We ignored them. DJ Greene went into the forest to gather 'real food'. He returned with deactivated geese. [Data Attached: Nutritional Analysis_Deactivated Geese]. They did have a higher taste coefficient than a deactivated snake. We shared the food with the foxes.

It was decided that we should investigate the tunnels within the cave. They lead to a hatch. We broke the hatch to open it and went inside. The interior suggested a starship. Origin species of the ship is unknown. There was an unusual mist which contained energy signatures. No life forms detected. [Data Attached: Chemical Anlaysis_CaveShipMist]. The air contained high concentrations of unbreathable gasses and low oxygen levels so DJ Greene and Oliver struggled to breathe. We encountered Lieutenant Hemstrum and Thorn while exiting the vessel. Thorn has left our collective and has a new designation; Akahana. Smoke has also left. We experienced the emotion 'sad' for 0.034 seconds and 'lonely' for 2.34 seconds.

We returned to the cave entrance. Lieutenant Hemstrum was concerned that Six of Twelve is Borg. We informed him that we would not assimilate him. DJ Greene defined the emotion 'offence'. This emotion has not been processed by Six of Twelve yet. Humour was engaged in including 'sarcasm'. We contacted Captain Sesgaard and reported our status. We requested investigation materials for further exploration of the vessel within the cave but transportation of material was impossible because of the storm.

The foxes and ape exited the cave. Lifeforms were detected from within. A large snake; resistance quotient 0.4 and a Burein'ita. Contradictory commands were received. Error reported. The commands were 'deactivate snake' [Source: DJ Greene], 'do not deactivate snake or Burein'ita' [Source: Lt Hemstrum] and 'stun snake and Burein'ita' [Source: Akahana]. Complying with all three was impossible. Errors within the chain of command caused confusion [Attached Data: Error Report_2417.03.08]. In order to minimize the effect of the error, we complied with the most reversible command and stunned the snake and the Burein'ita.

Akahana killed the Burein'ita with a knife in spite of Lt Hemstrum's objections. Lt Hemstrum described what occurred in the cave as a 'difference in opinion'. 'Differences in opinion' is an unacceptable and confusing state. Lt Hemstrum says that he will talk with the others about resolving this problem. Lt Hemstrum, Six of Twelve and Oliver put the deactivated Burien'ita and the snake in the forest. The storm had began to decrease in magnitude. Akahana is now able to fly the shuttle. We are leaving the island and going to Cromwell.

Begin Log: Six of Twelve: Stardate 2419.03.19

Cromwell's function has changed. We are now a combat vessel. Brinn has left because this adaptation has deemed civilians as 'unessential personnel'. He says that there will be a next time and that Six of Twelve still belongs [Data Attached: Malfunction_Leaking_Eye]. New units have arrived to replace those that were lost. We have four new marines and a new XO. Six of Twelve showed the new marines the way to their quarters after Captain Addams provided instructions. The quarters were spacially efficient, intended to house 12 units. They resembled the barracks we regenerated in during training on Chetzia. We went to the firing range and collectively deactivated 37 of the flat individuals. We then went to the Marine Holodeck. Leftenant Nelson Klien processed sadness and 'repugnance' around Six of Twelve because the Borg assimilated his species and he misses them. Cuddles was able to assist. In the holodeck, we were in a battle with [estimated] 50 individuals. They were firing at frequency 23.1234Hz. We adapted. Leftenant Nelson Klien and Lt Hemstum provided most of the commands. We deactivated all of the individuals but all units received some damage. Six of Twelve received damage to the leg which Leftenant Nelson Klien repaired sufficiently on the field for continued functionality. Our score was 'Very Acceptable'.
Lt Hemstum said that Six of Twelve would be good at Cartography so we asked Captain Sesgaard if Six of Twelve could assist in this. We are to transmit all locational data to Astrometrics so that they can update the DFA maps with the Collective's data.
All marine units were checked by a medical team. We required vaccinations. Six of Twelve needed them even though our nanoprobes assimilated them easily so that it would not be 'unique' [Data Attached: Medical_Records_Update]. Lini says the vaccines are a part of the assimilation process. This makes sense. Borg assimilation involves injections as well.
After that, there was a staff meeting. It was a meeting of chaos. We are still not entirely sure what it was about. Part of it was about the words 'sir' and 'ma'am'. These words are individual words used to increase efficiency of communication by verifying commands. Unfortunately, we do not know what they mean or where in the sentences they go. There was a lot of 'difference in opinion' during the meeting. Commander Martis, Kit and Jack West vocalized opposition to the adaptations. Captain Sesgaard became 'mad' and departed after criticizing the actions of several units. Commander Sinjin departed 3.34 minutes later. Our collective was without harmony. It had splintered into unrelated groups with differing thoughts. More so even that individual groups do anyway. It was confusing and we have yet to determine the cause or the solution. The Voice has commanded that Six of Twelve communicate with Captain Sesgaard so it is going to find him now.

Begin Log: Six of Twelve: Stardate 2419.03.29

Six of Twelve exited regeneration at 03:07. We processed a loud sound from an unknown source and three of the cargo boxes had altered their position. The contents had spilt out. We attempted to communicate with the bridge but communications were inactive. Six of Twelve took a turbo lift to the bridge for instructions. It was instructed to guard the door and prevent anyone not of us from entering. Six of Twelve complied. Captain Sesgaard communicated with Lt Muraj and Lt Clark but was then unable to contact Ensign Taylor without using our subspace connection. Communications appeared to be variable. We later found out that this was because the entire situation was a test.
Six of Twelve went to deck 14 to assist Lt Muraj, Ensign Tas and Lt Clark. There were debris from an explosion and breaches in the hull that had been sealed by forcefeilds. We began moving debris to create a path and discovered an inactive unit. Lt Clark confirmed that it was beyond repair. Lt Muraj used an ability belonging to a Species designated Halanan [Data Attached: Species Information_Halanan]. He was able to replicate his body in another location and investigate beyond the breach. We do not know how this was achieved. Ensign Tas (Species 180) did not register the second Lt Muraj and we registered increased Psilosynine levels suggesting the ability is related to telepathy. 'Halanan' share many physical traits with Species 523. Lt Muraj contacted the bridge by connecting to the operations console with a PaDD. Another damaged unit was found. This one was not inactive. Lt Clark and Crewman Car'dan began repairs and Ensign Tas took the unit too sickbay for further repair. Lt Muraj was commanded to return to Engineering. Six of Twelve, Lt Clark, Crewman Car'dan Lt jg West were to remain. We continued to move the debris and found a third damaged unit. It was missing a leg. The leg was found but was severely damaged. Lt Clark was in the process of attempting a repair (the unit was salvageable) when the debris began to disappear. The breach disappeared with a 'pop' sound. The explosion was actually a training exercise. The debris and the damaged units were all simulations and communications were not broken.
Six of Twelve returned to Cargo Bay 2 and tidied up the mess. We then watered our ficus and went to PT. All units except for Lt Hemstum and Six of Twelve appeared to require regeneration but this did not hinder us much. All units at PT performed within normal parameters. At 06:00 we heard music. This is activation music used to activate all units [Data Attached: Activation_Music]. All units were commanded to report to the Hanger Bay by 07:00.
In the Hanger Bay there was an Awards Ceremony. Lt Tanith's function was updated to 'Assistant Chief of Security'. Lt Hemstum, Lt Norris, Lt Talisman and Lt Klien's functions were updated as commanding units for Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta platoons, respectively. Lt Muraj and Lt Taylor were provided with the 'Creative Application of Technology' Ribbon. Lt Commander Martis, Lt Tanith, Ensign Tas and Lt Clark were provided with the 'Investigative Service' ribbon. Colonel Reynolds was assigned full Samari Rank from New Kyushu, MJ and Toby were assigned 'Samuri Rank 1' [Note: Investigate meaning]. Toby and MJ's ranks were updated to 'Junior-Cadet-Crewman'. Six of Twelve, DJ Greene and Oliver were provided with the marine certification for survival, Class M worlds.

Stardate : 2419.04

A distress call was detected on the bridge. Six of Twelve was called to the bridge because the distress call mentioned interactions with Species 8472. Starfleet have designated Species 8472 as 'The Undine'. The message stated that conflict between the shuttle the call was coming from and Species 8472 took place in 2423. Scans revealed no signs of bioships in the vicinity of Cromwell.
Six of Twelve, Ensign Taylor, Lt Hemstum, Commander Sinjin and Lt Clark were sent to recover the units on the shuttle. The shuttle was armed with several explosives [Data_Attached: Explosives_Vessel_2419.04]. Six of Twelve was commanded to wear an EVA suit. It asked why and explained that Borg exploating can protect drones in space. The question and explanations caused disharmony and inefficiency. Commander Sinjin launched the EVA suit out of an airlock and experienced several emotions. He said Six of Twelve was correct. Six of Twelve was not correct. We could not communicate efficiently in space because there is no air for sound to travel in. Six of Twelve had to communicate by sending messages to Ensign Taylor through our cranial implant.
We detected an area of the shuttle where there were no explosives. Ensign Taylor said that this was likely near the vessel's engine. Six of Twelve created a hole with its assimilation tubules in this gap. We looked through the hole and detected no explosives inside. Lt Clark used a lazar scalpel to create an entrance into the vessel where the gap was.
There were two stasis pods within the vessel with lifeforms inside. The cockpit door was locked. Six of Twelve and Lt Hemstum gained access. There were components from an artificial unit floating about the cockpit [Data_Attached: Artificial Unit Components_2419.04]. Six of Twelve collected the components.
Six of Twelve was connected to the statsis pods as a power source. They had too be moved from this shuttle to ours. Transporters could not lock onto our position. The interference appeared to be coming from the pods. Lt Hemstum detonated the explosives in a controlled explosion so that we reached our shuttle more efficiently.

~Cromwell is okay too~

Missing data. This unit was offline.
We reactivated with missing time. There was a power surge. Six of Twelve had deactivated because of power being drained from the shuttle. It re-initiated. Memory files were loading. One of the individuals from the pod had exited. He was blue but belonged to Species 264. He kept repeating "Carson Sesgaard, Maestro, alpha, Romeo, 16".

When we returned to Cromwell Captain Sesgaard, Colonel Reynolds, Lt West, Crewman Car'dan, Dr Kreig and Commander Martis were waiting in the shuttle bay. They were armed. The blue individual was known to us. His designation was later revealed as 'Eldar'. The remaining pod began to make a noise and the individual inside activated. His designation is Banor and he is of us. He is also a blue member of Species 264.

Six of Twelve was sent to regenerate. Ensign Taylor and Crewman Car'dan entered Cargo Bay 2 and security procedures were activated. Reason unknown. Captain Sesgaard, Dr Clark and Crewman Wells entered the Cargo Bay as well.

Six of Twelve showed Lt Riggi a memory from Probe 635. He asked how long we would live for. Six of Twelve said that the Borg would live forever. The length of activation for borg drone is variable. It is partially dependant on the origin species of the drones but primarily dependant on function but excluding outside factors most drones could operate for thousands of years.
Janos experienced emotions at the voices of the Collective. We think it was fear or confusion? We explained that the commands were only memories and that he would not be assimilated. We provided data on the storage of our neural processor and how we process memories. Janos said that space should be provided externally for Six of Twelve's memories in case we deactivate and our neural processor is destroyed. He said that we would start with Six of Twelve and not the rest of us because all of the memories of our collective would take up too much space.

Six of Twelve, Ensign Taylor, Lt Hemstum and Lt Norris were sent to a planet designated Hadreon IV. Our purpose was to help a collony on the planet even though it was not of us. We were to inform the other colonies that they must comply with this one. Or something like that. Our purpose was unclear. Six of Twelve was told to verify all speech with Ensign Taylor before speaking to any of the local inhabitants.
Captain Sesgaard provided data. A container of Borg technology was stolen in this sector along with the units who were studying it. The technology was not detected by our proximity transceiver. It is likely inactive. We must find and retrieve the technology and the individuals. The technology is from a probe that was destroyed in DFA space. Captain Sesgaard said it was 'spoils of war'. We do not know which war is being referred to. Six of Twelve, Ensign Taylor, Lt Klien and Lt Norris must program the drones in orbit of Hadreion IV to attempt to locate the Borg technology. Six of Twelve and Kit must also interact with the locals so that they know Six of Twelve is here. This is to attract the thieves towards us. If they want the Borg technology they may want Six of Twelve as well.

Six of Twelve, Ensign Taylor, Lt Norris and Lt Talisman went into Port Saoidh. The technology present in the town is minimal. Initial evidence suggests the planet, or this part a least, is unworthy of assimilation. There are a variety of species present, however, from both the Alpha and Beta quadrants. We spoke to an individual in the 'market' selling broken technology. He says that even if we provided a replicator, he would be unable to use it for long because he has no means of accessing the raw material it requires. No individuals paid above average attention to Six of Twelve's presence.
While we were communicating with him, airships attacked. He retreated shouting 'raiders'. The airships were designated as threats. They were firing phasers at the town. Six of Twelve and Lt Norris began firing at them. We made little impact on their shields. Ensign Taylor communicated with Cromwell and a new individual was transported to the surface. His designation is Ensign Kaden Rol and he is of us. All units took cover and continued to fire. The phasers from the airship became concentrated on Six of Twelve. Six of Twelve was damaged. Its shoulder was blown of by one of the airship shots and it was knocked down. We stored the frequency of the shot and adapted. The next shot was absorbed by our shield. There was an intense distracting sensation coming from the shoulder. Dr Clark says this is called pain and is a biological warning of the damage we received. Ensign Taylor called for assistance from the base and ground phasers began dealing with the threats. Lt Hemstum called for Six of Twelve to be beamed to sickbay.
Dr Clark and Lt Muraj replaced the missing shoulder and the exoplating around it. Our nanoprobes began fusing the new shoulder together and Lt Muraj replaced some the motor control servos in the shoulder. The blue Species 264 individual from the pod we transported back to the shuttle was there. He did not remember Six of Twelve. We do not know why.
After the repairs were complete, Six of Twelve was transported back to the surface. There was a meeting to discuss our next course of action. Six of Twelve, Ensign Taylor and Lt Norris were to return to the town and continue interacting with the local populous. Lt Hemstum and Ensign Rol were too go 'undercover'. We do not know exactly what this means but it is some sort of deception. Lt Hemstum will be 'James Bond'. Six of Twelve's ocular implant has been linked to Colonel Reynolds computer so that he can monitor our data more efficiently.
Ensign Kaden Rol belongs to Species 5620 so he can hear The Voice like Rory could and communicate non-verbally. He is also an empath, like Smoke. Empathy sounds like a negative quality initially because emotions from one unit are spread to another, causing the second unit to malfunction as a result of the first. It does, however, serve several functions. It can be used to detect threats and to treat units malfunctioning with emotions. Six of Twelve's memories made Ensign Rol sad but Cuddles repaired the malfunction. He works for sad as well as lonely.
When we returned to the town we proceeded to the large building in the centre. It is Port Saoidh's 'unimatrix zero' and its Queen lives there. The Queen of Port Saoidh is designated 'Ash'. He wanted to assimilate Six of Twelve but Ensign Taylor and Lt Norris did not allow this. He said that he wanted Six of Twelve because it would be efficient in the mines. He is correct. We are Borg. We suggested assimilating some individuals who already belong to him but Ensign Taylor said we were joking. This was confusing because we did not know we were joking. Six of Twelve's shoulder began to bleed. Dr Clark came to the planet to repair Six of Twelve. The servos inside the shoulder were misaligned so Dr Clark realigned them. Motor function has been restored. We must inform Dr Clark if our nanoprobes begin replicating the sutures he fixed Six of Twelve with.
Ash says that the raids always happen just as the materials have finished being produced. They must be getting data from somewhere. Lt Norris and Ensign Taylor said this could be an 'inside job'. An 'inside job' is where someone from within the mines is passing on data of completion to the raiders.

Six of Twelve and Lt Norris went to Mine Camp One and met Jorda. Kit had to leave to deal with a virus aboard Cromwell. We provided Jorda with the data that Governor Ash gave us. Apparently, this lead to us 'pissing off' the miners. They had been working efficiently until Jorda began speaking. They then stopped working and became threats. They said they would 'tear us limb from limb'. Lt Norris instructed that the threats should not be harmed so we kept our disruptor on stun and fired at their feet instead of their heads. Lt Norris asked Cromwell for an emergency beam out. Six of Twelve had minor skin lacerations and Lt Norris' 'pride' was damaged. Queary, what is pride?
Six of Twelve and Lt Norris returned to Cromwell and provided data on the events of Mine One to Lt Commander Sinjin. Lt Commander Sinjin provided further commands. We were to return to the planet; Six of Twelve, Lt Green and Lt Norris. Lt Greene is 'in charge' and we must not kill anyone. On the planet, Lt Greene talked to the miners and they stopped being threats. Lt Greene is efficient at 'diplomacy'. While we were communicating with the miners, we processed a voice inside. Like the Voice. We were told that we would receive instructions from a 'new collective'. We were confused and as we were processing the voice, we were transported.
Lt Norris and Six of Twelve had been transported to a room designated the 'B-Lab' (a shortened designation for 'Borg Laboratory'). Inside the room was a Species 5618 individual designated Joshua [Data Attached_Joshua] and a Borg drone designated Four of Seven Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 36 [Data Attached_FourOfSeven]. Four of Seven was the source of the voice. Six of Twelve connected to Four of Seven. Data from Four of Seven is attached [Data Attached_FourOfSevenUpload2419.07.03]. Four of Seven belongs to Cromwell now and will not assimilate Lt Norris. It is severed from the collective. Damage to assimilation tubules and neural transceiver.
Joshua said that his collective may kill Lt Norris. Six of Twelve said that it would not cooperate if they did so. We will not deactivate Joshua though as this will lead to Four of Seven's deactivation via incineration. The Collective has commanded that Four of Seven must survive.

Stardate : 2419.08 - 2419.10

<Begin Recording. Stardate 2419.08 - 2419.10>  Most of Cromwell was activated and commanded to proceed to the Hanger Bay in dress uniform. Six of Twelve, Four of Seven and four marine guards proceeded to the Hanger Bay as instructed. Six of Twelve was told to stand in the Marine formation and Four of Seven was told to stand next to the wall. We complied. The gathering was a promotion ceremony.Captain Sesgaard updated Cromwell on several new units which had recently been assimilated into our collective. Four of Seven, Ensign Xozalt and Lieutenant S'hirt. Thorn had also returned. Her rank has been updated to 'lieutenant'. Smoke has returned with Thorn. Ribbons and commendations were provided to various units [Data_Attached: Ribbons_Provided_2419.08]. A commendation is similar in function to a ribbon. Most of the commendations and ribbons were provided at the ceremony but Four of Seven's was updated on the computer system without being announced at the ceremony. We do not know the reason for the difference. Perhaps it was for efficiency? Six of Twelve was provided with three ribbons; one because it functioned correctly on Hadrion IV and two because it was damaged. Several units ranks were updated [Data_Attached: Designation and Function Updates].

After the promotion ceramony there was a party. It was a birthday party, which is a cultural event present in numerous species' societies. Birthday parties occur on the anniversary of an individual's first activation. Gifts are required. Toby commanded Six of Twelve to make an ice cream replicator but his design was insufficient. Lt Taylor updated the design and we then created the gift. Toby informs that the gift was acceptable. Six of Twelve provided a pickaxe for Captain Sesgaard's collection. Four of Seven and Six of Twelve communicated with Ensign Xozalt. We processed another malfunction during this encounter. It was another memory file, this time of a Species 5700 individual. Initially, we thought this individual was Ensign Xozalt but it was not. We processed an unusual sensation in relation to this individual but we do not know why. Four of Seven and Six of Twelve attempted to communicate with Captain Sesgaard as new units must, but disharmony occurred within our collective for an unknown reason. Kaden provided confusing commands and the disharmony continued, so this communication was ended and moved to the next day. Four of Seven and Kaden communicated with Captain Sesgaard the next day without any disharmony. We asked Lt Commander MarQ if and why he would resist assimilation by the Borg. He was unable to provide an answer as he required more data in order to do so. He needed to know whether or not being assimilated necessarily meant leaving the collective he currently belongs too. It is possible to belong to more than one collective. We know this is the case because Six of Twelve belongs to more than one. But is it possible to belong to more than one collective forever? Six of Twelve shared subroutines for functioning in Ten Forward with Four of Seven so that it could adapt efficiently to this function. Four of Seven participated in a navigational simulation on the bridge. It was able to deactivate all threats in the first simulation but not in the second. The second simulation provided an unexpected outcome where the threat vessel destroyed both itself and Cromwell by ramming into it. Lt S'Hirt experienced the individual malfunction 'anger' because Four of Seven overrode the tactical console during the simulation. Captain Sesgaard restored harmony and the malfunctions in all units ceased. We were able to repair and reactivate the unit found in the vessel that had contained Eldar and Lt Commander MarQ. Its designation is MAD-264 and it is a subunit of Lt Commander MarQ. It is a multifunctional unit.

A distress call was sent from a colony designated Invertus. They required medical assistance. We suggested that Six of Twelve go to the planet to protect Captain Sesgaard but Ensign Xozalt and Lt Commander Martis were already serving this function. Captain Sesgaard, Lt Commander Martis, Crewman Car'dan, Kaden, Ensign Tas, Ensign Xozalt and Dr Clark went to the planet. Six of Twelve and Lt Norris were sent down by command of Ensign Xozalt because the cause of the illness affecting the planet's population was found to be withdrawal from Katracel White, which was found in the planet's food supply. Given the Katracel White, it was suspected that there may be Species 10029 involvement. This suspicion was later verified. Dr Clark was taken by Species 10029. Kaden witnessed the event but was unable to prevent it. Communication was lost with Captain Sesgaard and Lt Commander Martis. We searched for Dr Clark and found that the drag marks from his body ended abruptly, suggesting he may have been transported. Four of Seven and marine units were sent to the planet to assist in locating our missing units. We were then attacked by Species 10029.Six of Twelve, Colonel Reynolds, Four of Seven, Thorn, Ensign Xozalt and Kaden deactivated the threats while Ensign Tas repaired units which were damaged during the attack. None of our units were deactivated. Five Species 10029 units were deactivated. Species 10029 are difficult to detect when 'shrouded' and can only be seen when they move through the fluctuations in the light around them.

<Pause recording><Data from Lt Kit Taylor> Two people from the colony were transported to sickbay for further investigation. Muraj noticed a spike in the transport signal and shut it down while he tried to determine what was wrong with it. He didn't have to wait long to find out. Two Jem'Hadar un-shrouded in the transporter room and started firing. He managed to survive the assault by 'playing dead' and contacted the bridge. Cromwell had been boarded. I was in engineering when it happened with DW179. I activated a polaron beam to sweep main engineering for shrouded Jem'Hadar and unfortunatly found some. When they noticed they'd been discovered, they opened fire so I activated ALL of the DWs and called for security. DJ arrived and between DJ, DW179 and myself, we managed to distract the Jem'Hadar with fake technobabble while we waited for backup which was a good thing as they were taking down the holoprojectors. Security finally arrived, along with Lt Muraj, Captain Adams and two people I've never met… one of which was ANOTHER Borg! The drone was named 'Leet' and was some kind of experiment belonging to the man it had arrived with, Lt Commander Kevin Braun. From what I understand, Braun is Cromwell's R&D specialist and has been missing for over a year, having been taken to another time and then returned. Security managed to take down the Jem'Hadar in engineering but then Muraj was alerted to an attack in the childcare centre. Muraj, Braun, Adams and DJ headed that way while I headed to Computer Sciences to find out why the computer wasn't responding to my commands. As it so happens, Miss Clara, the Childcare hologram, had handled the situation in C^4 so all that was left when they got there was two Jem'Hadar sliced in half and the boys asleep in stasis beds. Remind me never to mess with Miss C! When I made it to Computer Sciences, I found the Bynars. They had discovered the virus that the Jem'Hadar had been using to disable the computers and were working to disable it when we were attacked (again!). I don't remember much after that as one of the Jem'Hadar knocked me over the head but I know that I survived because of DJ and Muraj. The next thing I remember was waking up in sickbay with El and the EMH looking over me. <End of addition from Lt Taylor><Continue recording>

Cromwell received a video from the planet which showed Crewman Car'dan being deactivated by one of the Jem'Hadar under the command of Dr Kent. We found Captain Sesgaard and Commander Martis escaping a building that had been destroyed as the pair escaped the Jem'Hadar. Dr Kent is Borg so Six of Twelve could detect his proximity transceiver but we could also detect Fletcher's comm-badge. Fletcher was not supposed to be on the planet, so we were sent to locate him before finding Dr Kent. While looking for Fletcher, we found the remains of a Starfleet vessel from 50 years ago. Data from the vessel included mention of Dr Clark. We later found out that this was because Dr Kent was actually an alternate universe counterpart of Dr Kent who had been on the vessel when it crashed. We found Dr Clark in an agonising booth from the same alternate universe, some of our units visited last year. Six of Twelve destroyed the agonising booth and Dr Clark was sent back to Cromwell for repairs. We were attacked several times by Jem'Hadar before finding Fletcher. We found Crewman Cer'dan and Fletcher together. Flecther had gone down to rescue her, we think, but had not informed anyone and this had caused confusion. The data stating that Crewman Car'dan was inactive was incorrect. She is still functioning correctly.

We found Dr Kent after that and discovered the reason he is Borg, or partially Borg. Last year when Six of Twelve attempted to deactivate him with our assimilation tubules, we accidentally assimilated him instead. He returned to his universe before his neural transceiver had developed and thus never connected to the Collective. Thorn attempted to deactivate him but Commander Martis stopped her. Commander Martis says that Thorn was malfunctioning but Thorn says she is fine. We do not know which statement is true. Now Dr Kent and alternate universe Salvar (who had initially been disguised as a Vulcan designated S'Porn) are in the brig.

Colonel Reynolds, Six of Twelve, Dr Clark and Thorn followed Four of Seven's proximity signal to outside a containment centre in the town that Sam Sol originated from. Captain Sesgaard transported back to Cromwell after contacting Lt Harris and Commander Martis. Thorn and Dr Clark went inside the containment facility to try and ask for the release of our units. Shooting our way in may have been more efficient but Colonel Reynolds said this approach was better.
Lt Harris contacted Six of Twelve. He said that there were sufficient units assigned to the rescue operation and that he and Commander Martis would return to their mission of contacting the Terran rebels. Sam and Kaden were also working to release Four of Seven, Kit, Lt Hemstum and Lt Greene. <Pause Recording: Data from Lt Taylor>
The four of us woke up at different times. I was the last to wake up, just after Four, I think. I felt really groggy. Like a hangover but worse. From what the other's told me, I was lucky to be alive because these people tend to ah… dispose… of sick prisoners rather than treat them. There were several other people in the cell with us but only one I remember talking too. I think his name was Neil. We didn't have much time to find out what he was in for because all of a sudden a little girl appeared at the door. She was so thin that she was able to squeeze through the bars. Her name was Sally. She told me that Sam had sent her and that another child was going to get our stuff so that we could escape. Sally also told me that she had no parents and had lived on the streets her own life. She was so tiny and didn't look much older than MJ. The more time I spent with Sally, the more sure I was that I had to save her from any more suffering. An equally skinny little boy came from the vents and delivered our stuff and a key. We were able to escape in a big stampede. I scooped Sally up just before she got squashed. Turns out, Sam and Kaden had orchestrated the whole thing and had caused a distraction for the police so that Sally and Neilson could get in and rescue us. We met them outside a bookstore with Tas and asked for immediate beam out, taking Sally and Neilson with us.
<End of Data from Lt Taylor>
We received data from Four of Seven informing us that it and the others had been rescued and returned to Cromwell along with two Terran subunits, so Thorn, Six of Twelve, Dr Clark and Colonel Reynolds returned to Cromwell as well. Commander Martis left shortly after but Lt Harris returned to Terra to continue his mission.
When we returned to Cromwell, we found that the Christmas Program had activated. It was set during 1950s Earth and there were several locations to explore including Ray's Cafe, the Rattlesnake Club and a hotel with a nightclub. We gave Captain Sesgaard his gift. It is a cat. He does not have a designation yet. Captain Sesgaard explained that it will take time to install a designation because 'names are what make individuals'. We also gave a gift to Sam Sol (an isolinar chip containing holographic representations of various vessels) and Lt Hemstum (we gave Hemstum a blue bear. Its designation is Cuddles-2). Lt Hemstum made cake. We shared eating subroutines so that Four of Seven could eat the cake without risk of deactivation, like the first time Six of Twelve ate.
Lt Greene and Kit became the primary units for the Terran subunits. The subunits ran around the cafe and made a 'snowman'. This is a semi-humanoid structure constructed of snow. Thorn sang in the hotel nightclub while Colonel Reynolds watched. Captain Sesgaard, Dr Avri and Sam communicated in the Rattlesnake club. Six of Twelve and Four of Seven were assigned the task of helping Sam adapt to modern technology. So far, he has been adapting efficiently, with emergency procedures expected to be completed by January 10th at current rate of assimilation.
Santa Claus came on Christmas Eve. We are still unable to determine his species or how his reindeer fly. He provided our collective with various gifts, primarily books and Four of Seven was given a toy crocodile, like Cuddles. <Pause Recording: data from Ensign Tas> I'm a few chapters into my book and really enjoying it. You'd be amazed how much life there is in the delta quadrant… and some of the animals don't eat your brains. I do hope I get to encounter a Garzillian Mammoth one day and… wait? This is for a report Six? An official report? Are you sure the Captain really wants my book review? Stop recording this Six. <End Data from Ensign Tas>
Lt Muraj and Commander Sinjin both left Cromwell. We do not know all of the details but Kit said that they were probably assigned to other vessels within our collective? They both left together, just before the start of the Christmas party.
Kit and Lt Greene relocated into different quarters with their subunits and began the process of 'decorating'. Kit says that 'decorating' involves changing the appearance or arrangement of the room without altering its functionality. We do not understand the purpose of this. It sounds like an inefficient use of time.
We have made contact with an unidentified entity shaped like an egg. It is impervious to scans, registering no bio or electrical signals and it has just breached our shields and entered Cromwell. Six of Twelve is going down to the docking bay with Colonel Reynolds now to investigate. <End Recording>

<Begin Recording Stardate 2420.01 - 2420.03>
The Egg-shaped vessel cracked and two lifeforms came out. They were humanoid. We later found out that their species is designated the 'Aesir'. There were two Aesir individuals designated 'Eve' and 'Smith'. The Aesir had telepathic, empathic and telekinetic abilities and were looking to assimilate a subunit from Terra possessing these same abilities. The subunits the Aesir wanted were the ones Kit and DJ Greene had already taken. Sally and Neilson had empathic and telekinetic abilities, respectively. Neilson malfunctioned during discussion with the Aesir, using his telekinetic abilities to throw objects. Kit and Ensign Xozalt received minor damage but Smith shielded the occupants of the room from the majority of the projectiles using a telekinetic forcefield. Neilson passed out and went to sickbay. Sally spoke with the Aesir in private, with Ensign Xozalt waiting outside.
New units, Steven Edgeware and Nisala Epelo, went to investigate the Aesir vessel with DW179. The vessel took control of Steven Edgeware, drawing him in. We later found out that this was actually Sally, unconsciously experimenting with her empathic abilities. Nisala Epelo stunned Steven Edgeware with her phaser, setting of alarms. Ensign Xozalt left Sally in response to the phaser fire in the shuttle bay. Nisala Epelo and Steven Edegware went to sickbay.
Sally went missing. The Aiser say that she went into a place we could not follow using her abilities. Security has been searching but Sally was not aboard Cromwell.
A new unit, Ensign Mallory, arrived. She is a first contact specialist (and a second contact specialist). We had a meeting where teams for the second contact were decided. Six of Twelve, Dr Clark, Lt Petalosa and DJ Greene would be on the 'culture team'. We were to look for signs of cultural contamination on Terra. Lt Harris went down as the political 'team'. Is it a team if there is only one individual? Ensign Tas, Ensign Dribu, Ensign Radkene and Sargent Slattery were the biological team. There was going to be a diplomatic team as well, including Captain Sesgaard, Lt Commander Martis and Banor MarQ, but they never made it down. Marines were held in reserve in case any teams needed extraction.
On the planet, we detected some signs of 'cultural contamination' including posters with images of Four of Seven, Oliver, Hemstum, Tas and Kaden and the words 'we are not alone'. No Borg or DFA technology was detected during our search though. A subunit attempted to steal our PaDD but failed. Species 10026 and 180 individuals were detected inside a cafe.
<Incert data from Ensign Tas> We began the ecological mission near the shoreline as we wanted to collect as many samples there as possible before the tides came in. Midshipman Sol warned me of the danger of the tides rising and of some environmental hazards - including saw grass which I'll get too in a minute. Dribu and I found some exotic fish and Radkene found fluorescent sea-weed by the shore. In the swamp, we encountered the saw grass… well… I encountered the saw grass when I fell into it. Radkene pulled me out. I can't thank him enough for that as it was incredibly painful. I had numerous lacerations from the sharp plant but Slattery and Dribu were able to treat the injuries quickly. We followed crying sounds and found a very strange toad. In spite of looking like an amphibian, the animal actually had mammalian organs. It was a baby and it was hurt, probably attacked by a preditor. A female toad lay close by, dead. Presumanly his mother. The eco-team beamed back with the toad. Dribu and I were able to operate on the toad. I expect him to make a full recovery and have named the species 'Calidum-sanguinem Bufonem' or 'warm blooded toad' in Latin.<End of data from Ensign Tas>
We went into the cafe to investigate the alien signals. Terran soldiers followed in after us. They were checking everyone for a disease using an electric thermometer. Dr Clark demanded information from the soldiers. The away team was scanned and allowed to leave. We were to return to Cromwell, but transporters were down. Dr Clark had stolen one of the soldier's thermometers to try and collect data on the disease. The soldiers discovered this and began chasing us. Lt Petalosa said that we were not to shoot them. On Cromwell, Steven Edgeware, Oliver and Lt S'Hirt had organised a rescue mission in the Butterfly. They were able to transport us back to the shuttle where we were to stay in quarantine while the doctors determined whether or not the disease was a threat. The eco-team was also in quarantine in the menagerie. Lt Banor delivered supplies via 'Rock Jumpers'. This involved being tethered to Cromwell and delivering the supplies trough the airlock in zero gravity. We received enough sustenance and energy for 48 hours and a portable toilet so that Steven Edegware could dispose of his waste. We connected the recycling system to Six of Twelve's regeneration outlet to conserve as much power as possible. Quarantine did not last as long as expected because the nature of the virus was determined as harmless to Cromwell. It was a 'cold'. The Government on Terra is suspected to have been using it as a distraction while they searched for non-Terran lifeforms.
Cromwell's away team were not the only non-Terran lifeforms on Terra. Lt Harris discovered that Starfleet's Section 31 were also operating down there, investigating the rebel movement. Their vessels have not appeared on scanners but, given what we have assimilated about and from Section 31, they are likely using advanced cloaks to conceal themselves.
The computers had been set to run a diagnostic because Steven Edegware mistook EMH1's normal subroutines as a malfunction. DW179 responded to this malfunction report and organised a full system diagnostic. This is why transporters were offline. When Miss Clara went offline with the other holograms, Toby left the Childcare Centre and went in search of Commander Martis. He found Four of Seven in Ten Forward. Four of Seven took Toby to the holodeck looking for Commander Martis… who was looking for Lt Fletcher. Commander Martis found Lt Fletcher eating dinner in the 'Fantasy Island' simulation. Toby and Four of Seven's hovercar crashed in a forest. Six of Twelve found them and we used the lai Mr Roarky gave us (which appears to be a transportation device inside the program) to find Lt Commander Martis and Fletcher Harris. Meanwhile, Ensign Mallory submitted her mission report to Captain Sesgaard and was then ordered to interact with the rest of our collective. Ensign Mallory went to Fantasy Island on the holodeck and was introduced to Nisala Epelo. <End Log>

Four of Seven took Toby to the holodeck looking for Commander Martis... who was looking for Lt Fletcher. <End Log>

Mr Roarke asked if Six of Twelve and Four of Seven were married. We asked what 'married' meant and he said the following:

"When two people are inseparable.  When they can complete each other sentences.  When their thoughts become as one. They call that perfection.". This sounded like an accurate description of assimilation so we answered yes. Mr Roarkey said that there would be a ceremony of some description because of this.

Commander MarQ arrived and told us that we were to be doing a training exercise in the forest. We connected Commander MarQ's PaDD to our interlink nodes so that we could communicate more efficiently with him. Several marines arrived to join the training exercise and we headed into the forest. Movement was detected but it was non-threatening. Caused by holographic animals. We heard running water which lead us to a chasm. Transporters and vehicles were unavailable so we had to find another way over the chasm. It was too far to jump. With Commander MarQ's instruction, a transportation system was set up. Some units would get across the chasm first and then Six and Four would be pulled across with harnesses. Commander MarQ was to come across the chasm last. While we were setting this system up, Lt Hemstum, Oliver and Lt Lockwood found us. They had been taken to the holodeck by MAD264 which had woken them from their cycles, meaning to find Commander MarQ. The robot was suffering from a malfunction which enhanced its emotional responses. It had 'panicked' when Commander MarQ did not return home and had gotten the marines to help it.

It was 02:00 when Oliver, Lt Hemstum and Lt Lockwood arrived. They had brought a letter from Captain Sesgaard for Commander MarQ which explained that Colonel Reynolds was leaving for training. Commander MarQ's designation was updated to Major MarQ and he was assigned as CO of Cromwell's Marines in Colonel Reynold's absence. We went to the transporter room to watch Colonel Reynolds, MJ, Petty Officer Wells and Captain Adams leave. Colonel Reynolds said, "remember who you are". We were confused by this. We have been informed that he will be returning but we do not know when. When we returned to the simulation, most units slept until 05:00. Six of Twelve and Four of Seven stood watching for threats and alerted the others when it was 05:00. They consumed sustenance and then we made it over the chasm. Major MarQ said that Six of Twelve and Four of Seven were individuals. We told him that this was incorrect. We are to discuss it after the simulation as Major MarQ says he has something to explain.

<Data from Lt Tas> Let me think Six. I got a promotion to Lt j.g so you can update my designation! I had a chat with Commander Martis about... well um... never mind what that was about... Paige and Steven are getting to know each other and I heard Red took Opilia flying. Clark finally met up with Rose for dinner. Ah... the Captain was here. He went to dinner with a holographic lady called Jullie. Kit and DJ took Neilson and Sally to see Toby at the restaurant.<End data from Lt Tas>

We encountered another drone in the Arboretum. Its designation is 1337 of Research & Development, Primary Adjunct of Unimatrix Awesome. Unimatrix Awesome is not a place. We double-checked just in case. We are to call it 'Leet'. Leet has been in the Research and Development laboratory for the past 2 years and 10 months. It was created by Dr Bruen. Dr Bruen reanimated the cybernetic components of an inactive drone using EMH software which explains why Leet appears to be dead - it is. It's Borg designation is 13 of 124, tertiary adjunct of unimatrix 1773. All three designations have been stored. <End Log>

<Begin Recording 2420.04, Six of Twelve> The marine training exercise ended before we reached the threats because there was a ceremony to attend. Six of Twelve and Four of Seven repaired MAD264 after a discussion about time-management and dormant tasks with Major MarQ. At the ceremony, Captain Sesgaard, Lt j.g Harris, Lt Desson, Four of Seven, Ensign Radkene, Midshipman Sol, Lt Petalosa, Lt Commander Martis, Lt j.g Greene, Six of Twelve, 1st Lt Hemstum, 1st Lt Norris, 1st Lt Lockwood, Lt j.g Taylor, Dr Clark, Private Slattary, Crewman Car'den, Lt j.g Tas and Ensign Mallory were awarded the Terra Campaign ribbon for the away missions to Terra. Subunits, Sally and Neilson, were awarded badges in the same colours of the ribbon. Lt j.g Tas, Ensign Radkene, Six of Twelve, Lt j.g Greene, Lt Petalosa, Dr Clark, Captain Sesgaard, Lt Commander Martis, Lt j.g Rol, 1st Lt Norris, 1st Lt Hemstum, 1st Lt Lockwood, Lt j.g Harris, Lt Desson and Ensign Mallory were given commendations for actions on Terra. Dr Clark and Lt j.g Tas were given a special commendation for leading the away teams during the second mission. Major MarQ, Lt j.g S'Hirt, Lt j.gt Edgeware and 1st Lt Norris were commended for rescuing the away team stranded on Terra during the virus. Lt.j.g Taylor, Four of Seven, Ensign Xozalt, Ensign Mallory, Lt Desson, Captain Sesgaard, Lt Commander Martis, Lt j.g Rol, Lt Greene, Lt Petalosa, Six of Twelve, Lt Harris, Lt Epelo and Lt Edgeware were awarded the Aesir Campaign Ribbon for first contact with the Aesir. Sally and Neilson were given chocolate eggs for their dealings with the Aesir. Hemstum, Oliver and Lockwood were promoted from 2nd to 1st Lieutenants and Major MarQ was provided with his new insignia as he was promoted to Marine CO.

After the ceremony, there was a party. The units present ate and conversed. Captain Sesgaard provided details of our next mission. We will be patrolling the area surrounding an unstable star and conducting research. Captain Sesgaard said that the star was not a threat and asked if we had ever encountered a threatening star. We have not, yet. Neilson Greene gave an 'oath'. He said the following:  "I Neilson Greene hereby promise to uphold the DFA value to help people who are in need such as Sally and myself and others like us who are in need no matter who or what they are". We do not know what an 'oath' is but will enquire for more data. Captain Sesgaard then ended the program. Everything vanished, except for Roarke. Roarke's changed back to Brinn. Apparently, we should have shared that Brinn was onboard when we found out but we did not know this was relevant. Brinn was taken by Commander Martis and DJ to the brig. Brinn is not a threat but Captain Sesgaard said that we must determine whether or not he is still not a threat. This confuses us. Brinn is of us. Why would he be a threat? Captain Sesgaard said he will have questions for Six of Twelve in the morning. <<End Log>>

<Data from Lt Taylor: Chief Engineers Log>

'We discovered the problem with the transporters. The DWs transferred themselves into the transporter buffers when DW179 activated the system diagnostic but there was insufficient space for both the DWs holoprograms and the diagnostic data, meaning the data kept deleting itself and restarting, causing the diagnostic to be stuck in an infinite loop. Ensign Themoi suggested linking the replicators to the transporter so that we could use their buffers for additional storage and complete the diagnostic. I thought the idea was brilliant. It meant the replicators would have to be offline for a couple of days but we left the ones in Ten Forward active. The process was working. The system was able to complete the diagnostic and we were ready to begin reactivating the replicators... then I got a call from the Captain. Science needed the additional space from the replicators for the massive amount of data they were collecting on the unstable star. The replicators would have to stay offline until the end of the mission which meant people were going to have to get used to the crowds in Ten Forward and I was going to have to get used to the 20-minute queue for my morning hholinar.

Fortunately, Lt Petalosa came to the rescue. She organised a staff meeting and suggested we use the shuttle replicators to help ease the load on Ten Foward. She suggested each department organised set meal times and the Captain expanded this by allowing a few select replicators to be activated. Petalosa then suggested we make coffee machines for each department since a lot of people were using Ten Forward for coffee.'

As we got closer to the unstable star Lieutenant Edgeware read high levels of gamma radiation from the unstable star. Dr Clark began replicating vaccinations to protect Cromwell's units from the radiation. Captain Sesgaard received a communication from DFA Command. They needed to know which unit was Cromwell's XO now that Colonel Reynolds is away. Captain Sesgaard assigned Commander Martis the function... then she immediately commanded him to the ready room. Individual systems of hierarchy continue to confuse us but Commander Martis is performing her function efficiently so far as we can understand. She assigned Lt Greene as chief of security. We must ask Lt Greene and Major Banor for updated details on the platoons when there is time (we have been informed that a red alert is an inappropriate time for an administrative meeting.). We do know that Lieutenants Norris, Hemstum and Lockwood have been promoted to the marine command team and asked to assign secondaries.

Four of Seven, Ona, Lt Edgeware and Captain Sesgaard went to astrometrics. They investigated the system we were approaching in a zero-gravity simulation. There were two suggested possibilities for the anomalous readings we were getting from the system - the unstable star was feeding a pulsar or we had found the theoretical exit of a black hole, designated a 'white hole'. We suggested installing Borg shielding into Cromwell. Captain Sesgaard said we could try it on a shuttle.

<Data from Lt Taylor: Chief Engineers Log>

Miss Clara had been swept into the diagnostic with the DWs. When I finally got her online, she had been formatted, causing an unpleasant experience for the younger children when Miss Clara 'forgot' them. Neilson handled it well and made Toby feel better. I was up most of the night trying to fix her without any backup. Themoi saved the day again by suggesting we use information from the Borg drones about the children to fill in the gaps. I would like to recommend Ensign Themoi for commendation for her quick and brilliant thinking regarding the transporters and the problem with Miss Clara. She has also been instrumental in the Borg Sheild project. Ensign Themoi arrived on Cromwell only a short while ago and had already had a massive impact on the Engineering department and, I believe, Cromwell as a whole. <End Data from Lt Taylor>

Petty Officer Wells returned from her training course and was assigned to tactical on the bridge. Room assignments were updated because Petty Officer Wells and Crewman Car'dan are a 'couple'. We do not know what this means. Do they share a neural link like Six of Twelve and Four of Seven? Whatever it means, they now share their regeneration area.

As we got closer to the pulsar, we detected above-average levels in chronoton radiation and saw a change in space-time. We had travelled through time. Entering the event horizon caused a difficult flight. Some units were knocked over on the bridge and minor injuries were reported across the ship. We went to red alert. Six of Twelve went to astrometrics and called Major MarQ. We determined that Cromwell had travelled 5000 years into the past. Major MarQ asked Six of Twelve to run simulations in astrometrics (data attached) while he went to get something from his quarters.

A shuttle was picked up on sensors, moving towards Cromwell in an unstable manner. Petty Officer Wells caught the shuttle in our tractor beam and the individual inside was transported aboard. It was Fletcher Harris.

<Data from Lt Tas> <Tas' Personal Log> From what I heard, Fletcher was in a rough state when he transported into sickbay. Clark and Helen treated him. He seemed to have aged. We now know it was only by two weeks but his long beard made everyone think it was longer. He seems back to his usual self now though. He showed me how to ice skate and told me about a game called hockey that you play on the ice. Details of his mission were classified but I got the impression it went well, whatever it was.<End Data from Lt Tas>

<Data from Lt Taylor> <Kit's Personal Log> We (Petalosa, Themoi, Mallory, Clark, Wells, Xozalt, Radkene, Edgeware and myself) have been sent on an away mission to the third planet in the Ortus system because Edgeware detected three unusual heat signatures coming from the planet with Cromwell's sensors. This is the first away mission I've ever lead so I'm nervous but excited. Wells, Themoi, Xozalt, Edgeware, Mallory and I transported down with Thorn piloting the shuttle containing Radkene, Clark and our supplies. The surface was freezing and I felt the cold even under the layers of clothing. We headed towards the mountains, where the first heat signature had been detected. On the way, Wells slipped through a crack in the ice. I nearly went down with her when I offered my hand but thankfully Themoi grabbed me just in time.Wells had managed to get a hold of the side of the chasm. The rest of the away team was able to pull her back up and no one was badly hurt. Edgeware detected life signs from inside the chasm and Themoi detected some kind of large metal structure. I called in what we'd found and pointed out that it might be a potential first contact. Captain Sesgaard said we should proceed with caution. Climbing gear was transported down so we headed into the hole. We found a large metal door at the bottom and were greeted by humanoid beings who identified themselves as the Ort. Mallory covered the prime directive by explaining our presence as a 'pilgrimage'. I implied that Radkene and Opilia's alien appreciate was the result of surface radiation but I don't think they bought it. They lead us to their home, 'Colony 7'. It's an underground city protected by a large dome. It seems securely built and there is electricity down here. Colony 7... the name makes me wonder, we only detected 3 heat signatures so what happened to the other 4 colonies? We've been given permission to explore so that's what we're going to do... <End of Data from Lt Taylor>

<Begin Log> <Six of Twelve> The away team had been out of contact for longer than the protocol for reporting in requires so a second away team was sent to retrieve their status and recover the first team if they were damaged. The second away team consisted of Commander Martis, Major MarQ, Crewman Cer'dan, Lt Tas, Crewman Goch, Lt Greene, Lt Harris and Lt Norris. They transported to the planet's service and went down the same chasm the first team had entered. We lost contact then.

<Data from Lt Tas> When we got to the surface, we came to the hole that the first away team had entered. I nearly slipped into it but Martis caught me. We made it down the chasm without any problems but when we got down there, the stalagmites started to fall. There were a lot of minor injuries, including a scratch to DJ's face, my cheek and Martis' head but the biggest problem was Goch: he was stuck. Crewman Goch had been trapped by a huge chunk of fallen ice. Martis, DJ and the marines managed to get him out and, to my surprise, he was a little shaken but uninjured. The ice had not hit his leg, it had just stopped him from moving. We found a large metal door and Goch pulled it open. He nearly became a Goch-Sandwich but Fletcher jumped in just in time to get him out of the way. Poor guy wasn't having much luck. When we got into the colony we met a group of people from a race called the Ort. Lini had disappeared but was still within comm-range. Wells and one of the Ort went after her while the rest of the group followed the Ort to their Community Centre. There was a buffet spread out for us when we got there and the Ort seemed very hospitable, curious to learn about us and happy to share about themselves.<End of data from Lt Tas>

Captain Sesgaard told Six of Twelve to release Brinn from the brig. We had finished searching for nothing. Brinn has been assigned a function in Ten Forward. Six of Twelve took him there and provided updates. We told him that we had travelled 5000 years into the past and that we were in orbit of a planet in the system of an unstable star. We then informed him that he must bring order to Ten Forward because the replicators are offline. Brinn was efficient. He instructed Four of Seven and Six of Twelve to clear the tables and we began designating units. Their designations were called when tables became available. Six of Twelve had to leave because it was required on the bridge.

The away team had not reported in 2 hours and 4 seconds so Captain Sesgaard and Six of Twelve went to Ortus III to investigate. We climbed down the chasm and found blood from Species 5618 and Species 180 in trace amounts. Major MarQ then contacted Six of Twelve through our neural link and provided an update. Both away teams were in the community centre in a colony beyond the metal door. We found the away teams, minus Crewman Cer'dan and Petty Officer Wells. Goch had been damaged by a fruit but Dr Clark had repaired him. The damage was caused by an 'allergic reaction'. Dr Clark said this is similar to when Six of Twelve drank wine. Individuals suffer unique reactions to environmental toxins, even amongst the same species and they do not adapt to them in the same way the Borg do. We learned that the source of the blood was the away teams being damaged in an accident at the bottom of the chasm. Six of Twelve and Lt Harris were sent to locate Crewman Cer'dan and Crewman Wells. We found their signals at an assimilation ceremony of some description. It is called a 'linking' ceremony.<End Log>

After all of Cromwell's away teams had been brought back together, we split them again. There were two other active colonies on Ortus III to explore. Commander Martis, Lt Greene, Lt Tas, Ensign Mallory, Ensign Themoi and Ensign Radkene proceeded to the closest of the two colonies designated 'Colony-2'. Details from Colony 2 are as follows:

<Data From Ensign Tas>

We arrived at Colony 2 to find a similar metal door to the one on C7. Unlike on C7 though, we didn't have to climb down a chasm to get in. We were greeted by a man named Soerec who appeared to be suffering from symptoms of dehydration and heat stroke. When we entered the colony we found out why. The temperature in there was over 55 degrees Celsius and rising.
The problem turned out to be a heat valve which was stuck open. The colonists had been afraid of the valve freezing over so had left it open to allow enough heat in to thaw the ice and stop the colony from freezing. Unfortunatly, the underground room where the valve was became so hot that no one could get back in to close the valve afterwards which meant instead of freezing to death, the colony was now slowly cooking to death. Ensign Radkene, as a Tholian, could have safely entered the room and closed the valve. Mallory insisted this would be in violation of the Prime Directive. When I tried to take command of the situation so that Radkene could save the colony, Mallory had us transported back to Cromwell. *Sounds of Sobbing* There, there was nothing I could do. I was going to go back and help them anyway but by the time I'd gotten an EVA suit ready a general recall had already been sounded. I'm sorry Six, I can't talk about this any more.<End of data from Ensign Tas>

<Resume Log>
The other colony was designated 'Colony 4'. Lt Harris, Lt Petalosa, Ensign Xozalt, Crewman Goch and Petty Officer Wells went to this colony. They faced resistance upon entrance. Crewman Goch and Ensign Taylor were taken, Lt Petalosa was knocked unconscious and Lt Harris was injured. Petty Officer Wells was able to get a distress call to Colony 7 and a rescue team was sent.

Commander Martis and Lt Greene were recalled from Colony 2 to assist in the rescue and Lt S'Hirt brought 'The Brick' down with several marines. Major MarQ organised the marines into submatricies around Lt Lochwood, Lt Norris and Major MarQ.

We arrived tunnel leading to the colony and detected several lifeforms. The lifeforms began firing at us before we were in firing range. Their projectile weapons had a greater range than Six of Twelve's disruptors or the phaser rifles. Six of Twelve moved through the bullets, taking heavy damage and destroyed them when it got into range. Major MarQ destroyed the units on the flank and once in range, the rest of the marines eliminated the threat. Five units were damaged. Dr Clark repaired all damaged units. Six units were beyond repair and had already been deactivated. These units were removed by Lt S'Hirt and taken back to Cromwell.

Once inside the colony, we took cover from the threats and had a meeting. Major MarQ and Commander Martis were disharmonious. Major MarQ said that his function was to protect Commander Martis but Commander Martis resisted protection. We did not understand the discord. Commander Martis said that until we returned, she was the Queen. She said that Six of Twelve must ignore any commands from Major MarQ which contradict those given by her. We did not understand why their commands would be different. The disharmony between them reduced the overall efficiency of our collective. We think it had something to do with emotions but we do not understand the emotions involved. Further research on the causes of individual disharmony is needed. Why did Commander Martis require more protection than other units from Major MarQ and why did Commander Martis resist said protection?

We went to look for the missing units. We searched houses containing varying degrees of resistive elements. Six of Twelve destroyed all resistance it encountered but left non-threats unharmed as instructed. Kit contacted us then. She said that she and Goch were being held captive and that they were damaged. We began moving towards their position but were intercepted by further resistance.

These threats were disharmonious. They seemed to have different goals; to fight and to leave. The Commander said they were to kill 'The Blue Demon and his Death Machine'. This is a metaphor for Major MarQ and Six of Twelve. Lt Norris and Lt Lochwood were designated as overwatch. They were able to deactivate the threats from behind while Six of Twelve, Major MarQ and Commander Martis dealt with those in front. We were told to stop firing when they ran away. We complied. We received a call at this point from Ensign Xozalt. She, Fletcher, Petty Officer Wells and Lt Petalosa required backup as they were being attacked.

Lt Martis and the marines went to provide this backup while Six of Twelve, Major MarQ and Dr Clark went to release Kit and Crewman Goch. Further resistance was encountered and destroyed at the prison before we reached Kit and Crewman Goch. Commander Martis, Lt Greene, Ensign Xozal, Lt Lockwood and Lt Norris went to assist Lt Harris, Petty Officer Wells and Lt Petalosa. They found Lt Petalosa unconscious. Fletcher and Petty Officer Wells were severely damaged and Commander Martis became damaged during the encounter. They were able to defeat the resistance there however and make it to the transport site in time. Six of Twelve, Major MarQ and Dr Clark also made it to the transport site in time. Lt S'Hirt was in the dropship with Captain Sesgaard.

On the way back to Cromwell, Major MarQ blacked out due to blood loss. He said that Six of Twelve could carry him to sickbay and that the bullet in his shoulder was to be kept. We informed Dr Clark. Major MarQ is more resilient than most individuals. He waited for a convenient time before blacking out so as not to impede our efficiency.

We returned to Cromwell and Six of Twelve was instructed to regenerate. Our cycle was disrupted when power was reduced to compensate for the shielding which would protect Cromwell from Ortus' radiation as we made the temporal jump, sling-shotting around the star. Ortus went supernova on our return. All life on Ortus III was destroyed. That was 5000 years ago.

We have now returned to our own time. We detected a small disturbance in space-time but as it was very small, Kit instructs us to ignore it. Six of Twelve and Four of Seven have been sent to Sentinel Station to visit Outanyocon.

Extract submitted from Lt Taylor's Log:

"Chief Engineer's Log, Stardate 2420.09.

The Battle of Visak'a... where do I begin? It'll probably go down in history along with events like Wolf 359. Cromwell received a distress call from the Visak'a Space Station asking for help against the Borg. Our Borg and the children were sent away for their protection (and ours). By the time we arrived at Visak'a, we'd already worked out that we were in the wrong timeline but that the differences were probably slight. We had to protect this Visak'a and hope that our other selves would act the same. From the reports I've been reading since getting home, it seems they did. Personal details of the battle may vary slightly between the two timelines but the main results were the same.

When we arrived at the station we found a tactical cube and a Borg probe. The Sixth Swarm arrived a little after we did under the command of t'Khellian. As well as defending Visak'a from the Borg, we had to steal a Chronoton generator. It would be our only chance to get home since we could no longer slingshot around the star, it had gone supernova as we arrived - earlier than it should have.

We had a plan. Fletcher Harris and Alexis Patterson would scout the ship and find out where the Sphere, if there was one, could be found. Based on the information the Enterprise reported the last time the Federation saw the Borg time travel, the temporal vortex was generated by a Sphere which came out of a tactical cube. The cube at Visaka looked the same but we knew finding a chronoton generator onboard may come down to luck.

Harris and Patterson managed to find the Sphere without making the Borg consider them a threat so then came the next part of the plan.

This was when things got messy. The marines had to infiltrate the ship and steal the generator. I would go with them to disconnect it and Commander Martis would lead a team of Rock Jumpers to get us out.

We had some unexpected help from the Sixth Swarm in the form of Michael Reynolds, or Michael tr’Khellrenz as he was known here and his team of legionaries.

The fighters, Cromwell and the Sixth Swarm used planet crackers against the cube. I'm told one of the fighters even rammed into it. They did a lot of damage but a not-so-fun fact about the Borg: they are big on redundancy. A Borg cube can function even with 80% of its components destroyed and it kept adapting to everything we threw at it. They made a hole though, a big enough one for us to get in... except something unexpected happened. I guess it shouldn't have been unexpected on hindsight but they dropped their own shields around the hole and let us in. Of course there was a swarm of drones waiting to assimilate us when the dropship landed.

We made it out of the assimilation chamber, if barely. I saw things which will haunt me for the rest of my life, including a marine get assimilated from the outside in by his own nanite-suite. We took heavy losses. I owe my life to a Romulan Legionnaire who -" Kit's voice crackled and the recording stopped for a second.

"He was assimilated saving me. I... I shot him. A lot of people died or were assimilated, getting me to that generator but against the odds, we got there and with Brinn's help I was able to disconnect it. Martis got us out, except for this one legionnaire who chose to stay behind. Her name was Jilisi. She injected herself with a bio-weapon. A virus that would infect the cube when she was assimilated. Minutes after we left the cube, it self-destructed. The Collective destroying the infected cube so that the virus didn't spread, or so Six informs me.

The Borg Probe had left, before the cube exploded. I don't know why. They'd just beamed out their drones and left... I guess they had somewhere else to be? The Borg were gone from Visak'a. We had survived but we'd taken heavy losses. Cromwell alone had lost 80 people, mostly marines but also security officers who'd went down to Visak'a and Fighter pilots. We'd taken 60 people over to the cube and 7 came back. The Sixth Swarm lost 39 ships and 99 fighters.

But we had the generator and in spite of losing 70% of its personnel - Visak'a still stood and Pangaere was safe."

Begin Log. Six of Twelve.

Cromwell collected Six of Twelve, Four of Seven, Toby, Sally and Neilson after its interaction with the Collective was over. We were to program a temporal vortex which would take us to before the Ortus system was destroyed by the supernova. Six of Twelve, Four of Seven, Major MarQ and Captain Sesgaard calculated the course with the least range for error and we returned to the required time.

Heron, the individual Commander Martis had brought from Colony 4, went into cardiac arrest. Dr Clark noticed that the star's frequency matched his heart rate, which fluctuated at the same time it did. We deduced that the star and the Ort may be linked. Heron asked Dr Clark to sing. We did not know what this meant initially but Captain Sesgaard theorised that the possible connection between the Ort and the star meant the Ort needed to survive so the star did not go supernova. We needed the star to survive so that we could return to the correct timeline.

It was all connected: the Ort needed the star - this was why Heron was unstable, the star needed the Ort -this was why it had gone supernova early, because the Ort had died and Cromwell needed the star.

An away team returned to Ortus III. It consisted of Fletcher Harris, Alexis Patterson, Dr Clark, Tas and Six of Twelve.

It was required for the away team to be ‘volunteers’. Six of Twelve would be useful for communications so we suggested it go. It was instructed to find the definition of ‘volunteers’. We complied but we did not understand. It was about ‘freedom’ and we do not know what this means. We asked Captain Sesgaard if Six of Twelve /had/ to be a volunteer. It did not. Six of Twelve is a weapon. Six of Twelve is not ‘free’.

Six of Twelve, Fletcher Harris and Alexis Patterson collected an individual from Colony 7 while Tas and Dr Clark collected one from Colony 2. They also opened the valve so that the Ort in Colony 2 would not die from over-heating as they did in our last iteration of the timeline.

The individuals, Toc from Colony 2, Heron from Colony 4 and Muraj from Colony 7, sang to the star and it began to stabilize. The star did not supernova, it gave birth.

We do not entirely understand the nature of the connection between the Ort and the star as both lifeforms are new to us, but the Ort surviving and singing to the star enabled its survival and the birth of its offspring.

We saw the star produce a smaller star and we saw the smaller star leave the system. Perhaps they are a symbiotic species and the infant has gone to find another species to join with in the same way its parent was joined to the Ort? We could not learn more as Cromwell had to return to our own timeline. We used the star to do this in a final slingshot maneuver.

Cromwell has successfully returned to our timeline and is now were on route to Devu II. We received a United Earth distress call. This is unusual given United Earth no longer exists.

We collected the individual from United Earth and her subunit. We also removed the Plutonium she was using to power her communication device. The device used to send the distress call had been adapted from a radio transmission device the species native to the planet used for their own communications. The planet seemed to shift in and out of time, meaning in spite of spending only 7 years on the surface, the individual from United Earth, designated Irina Pavlova, was actually gone for 260 years.

Ensign Mallory ‘resigned’ from the DFA. This means she is leaving. She was supposed to go to the planet with Six of Twelve and Captain Sesgaard but she did not. She said she would not go if Six of Twelve went. She disobeyed a command, like Twelve of Twelve, but Captain Sesgaard said this was not a malfunction. We do not understand. Data from Tas suggests she should not leave but may require a new function. We will suggest this solution.

A promotion ceremony was held. All data regarding service record updates, ribbons, awards, and chain of command priorities have been updated [DATA ATTACHED*].
