It was decided that we had a sufficient number of collected individuals for investigation.  Submatrix 34 was returned to Probe 815. The malfunctioning Six of Ten was sent to its regeneration chamber for repair. Nine of Ten conducted repair of Seven of Ten's damaged ocular implant, Seven's internal diagnostics confirmed afterwards that the unit was functional. Other drones belonging to Submatrix 34 were assigned new tasks or sent to their alcoves.  A Species 10030 warship dropped out of warp, entering Unimatrix 43 where Probe 815 was holding the Vix'Ok. The vessel was considerably more powerful than the probe and as the probe, it opened fire, breaking the hold the tractor beam had on the Vix'Ok. The Vix'Ok escaped while the probe was engaged with the warship. Given that Probe 815 was outgunned and was carrying the sampled individuals, it was decided it should leave and allow a cube to deal with the warship. Probe 815 returned to Unimatrix 42 and the warship was destroyed by a cube. The probe was about to start the investigation of the sample individuals when it was interrupted by a sudden sound, the sound of new voices adding to Borg perfection. The battle between the Species 10030 immune system and the Borg nanoprobes that had been ongoing inside the half-assimilated individuals in the Vix'Ok sickbay finally ended with the nanites victory. Four new undesignated drones came to be inside the Vix'Ok and it was discovered through this assimilation that the nanoprobes had had to adapt specifically for the individual immune systems of the aliens causing considerable delay in assimilation (several days). It was also discovered that Species 10030 had increased dark vision at the cost of being sensitive to light. It was known from the assimilation of the Vix'Ok computers that Species 10030 were aware of the location of Borg transwarp hubs and were using their conduits so the decision remaining was whether or not the species was worthy of assimilation, should be destroyed or was to be ignored... Assimilation was chosen...

Submatrix 34 was sent to the Species 10030 vessel to begin the assimilation process. Six of Ten experienced a malfunction with its cortical node after being fired upon by an individual belonging to Species 10030, the malfunction was repaired and the drone is functional.    The vessel's computer database was assimilated, it revealed the location of the Species 10030 home planet in Unimatrix 44 and that they have a fleet of ships spread out throughout unimatricies 42 through to 50.  There was nothing remarkable about the technology of Species 10030 other than their sensors. The vessel's sensors where specifically calibrated to pick up on transwarp signatures and where locked to the range of frequencies we use for our transwarp hubs. The threat level of Species 10030 has been updated. There was no transwarp drive detailed in the ship schematics, suggesting that Species 10030 could not create their own conduits, but there was a map displaying a number of Borg conduits and one transwarp hub.     Attempts were made to assimilate Species 10030 but these attempts failed, the nanoprobes did not appear to be functioning as expected and the individuals continued to resist. It was decided that we would collect a group of individuals from the vessel for further analysis aboard Probe 815. A random selection meeting varying demographics was chosen from the crew manifest, Submatrix 34 was sent to retrieve these individuals.  Ten of the eighteen selected individuals have been acquired so far.      We have noticed some individuals in the vessel repair room appear to be infected with nanoprobes, their skin has changed colour but neural transceivers have not yet developed.
