The Cromwell and Seiklon Axel limped home to Chetzia, where the ships went their separate ways. At that time, Captain Lorith abruptly left, leaving no explanation or reasoning for his departure, handing command to his XO, Dan Forrest.

Counselor Sam Carter, suffering from an unknown illness because of her separation from the planet, was taken to Chetzia's surface, leaving Que Neoca and Chetzia's Dr. McGreggor working against time to cure her and the planet's mysterious 'machine' inhabitants.

Shortly after the changeover, Captain Forrest was invited to the CO's conference at the new Starbase Horizon on behalf of the government of Devu II. He left very quickly, with Major Warner at his side, knowing full well that the future of the 'rebellion'- whatever they may have- could hinge on what happens there.

With the Seiklon Axel heavily damaged during the battle, the Cromwell has called Chetzia base for a tow. Rebel ships have arrived, and are finally preparing to take the wounded ship home (with massive cheers from the Cromwell crew).

The Seiklon Axel agreed to tow the Cromwell to the rebel base of Chetzia in exchange for the assistance of Cromwell staff for their medical and science departments.

But just as they got underway, they were ambushed by a Carlotti vessel. That battle is ongoing.
