The Cromwell, limping along, has made contact with the mercenary vessel Seiklon Axel, who have offered their assistance.

Captain Lorith, pursuing Kuma in the throes of pon'farr, has been captured. Warner, Kuma, and Melkanon have hatched an elaborate plan to cure him.

Masterson has been revived from her coma, with the help of Carter and Forrest, and identified the sabotuer, an Axanar engineer named Duroc. Duroc led COS Dean's security forces (augmented by Lee, Forrest and Andrews) on a merry chase before being felled by the marines in the hangar.

The crew of the Cromwell is frantically trying to repair their cloaking device, unaware that the saboteur is still in their mix, subverting them at every step.

Lorith's pon farr has drawn him to Shinja Kuma, which led to him stabbing the marine, Melkanon, in a fit of jealousy. A team led by Forrest and Dean is frantically trying to locate him, with the help of Sam Carter.
