The Frak' Bar

Note#1: This is a fictional bar.

Note#2: The concept of the bar was inspired on the “The infamous I-Bar on Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego”

Location

  • 307 Celestial Blvd.

  • Prosperity (Capital City) at Campanella (DFA Allied Planet)

The Celestial Blvd is a famous address in a Capital with trees or greenery on both sides of the street. The boulevard is also famous because is the home of the “Temple of the Orbs”, Campanella’s largest Temple.

Tourist are always adviced to visit the Temple and then drop by the bar.
=> So first you “pray” at the Temple, then you “play” at the bar.

The Name

The bar was named after the colloquial form of the Bajorai (Bajoran Language) word “frake” which means Celestial. And yes, of course, the double meaning name was intentional (Frake = Frak’ = Frak).

For those unfamiliar with the word “Frak”, it was used on the tv series “Battlestar Gallactica” in order to replace a known f-word! Not a ST cannon word, but we love it!

About Frak' Bar

  • The exterior architectural façade was inspired on the red brick buildings of London, Earth.

  • The interior was refurbished in 2405 and was inspired in the “interstellar naval” décor.

  • In the centre of the bar, there is counter (island) in the shape of the Bajoran Logo.

  • Hanging from the ceiling, there are tons of starships models, most DFA’s. On the walls, patches from the DFA squadrons and leather jackets donated by pilots.

The Frak Rules!

  • At the entrace of the bar there is a placard with its three rules.

    • Don’t disrespect the owner or the crew!

    •  Don’t talk about work!

    •  No commbadges!

  • Each time a client breaks a rule, the penalty is to pay for a round of beer for all clients already inside the bar.

  • In order to announce the next round is free because someone broke the frak rules, a large brass bell is rang and everyone shouts “FRAK!!!”
