Th’avhevil was born to a Starfleet Captain who was assigned to a long tour in the Delta Quadrant and his bondmates. As he grew up he was taught Andorian heritage by his charan (one of two fathers) and zhipa (aunt on his zhavey’s side). When he was of age, his father gave him a choice to join Starfleet like him or to join the DFA. Feeling that Starfleet was not exciting enough and seeking a more cavalier option, he chose DFA. His family disapproved but didn’t stop him and actually helped him to get in
