Captain's Personal Log: <Begin recording>

Loch Monroe, Jack West, and Michael Reynolds have returned from their away mission on the planet the

Romulans are keeping shrouded. It was a close and dangerous thing. The Romulans had captured them

when West and Reynolds went to assist the locals after an earthquake which injured one of the Pangeareans.

As the Shuttle, on the medical emergency, was returning to S'Task, Loch managed to beam the two intel

officers out and get safely home and unspotted against all odds. Loch did not seem surprised by the luck,

since his luck had changed for the better while the intel officers were on the planet and were away. He played

several games of Solitaire without losing, and complex ball bouncing seemed an art form for him. His luck

seems to have run out after the Romulan extraction though. Note to self, invite him to Poker night.

Commander Bill Kocps has been revived by Dr. Clark, and seems to be adjusting well to the new century. Bill

has graciously volunteered to join up and help out Cromwell. Six is pleased that he complimented her implants

and seems fearless of her. A refreshing approach to the Borg. I hope the Romulans respond 1% as well.

Thorn has made some passing acquaintance with her opposite number on S'Task. I hope we can develop that

as a way to open a line of open communications with the Romulans. The Secret meeting with the Romulan

Riov tr'Aryn worked out better than I had expected.

With the entire crew back aboard Cromwell, a general staff meeting is held. Six is made a Crewman (recruit).

Jack West and David Clark are each promoted to Lt (jg). Additionally, Dr Clark is made Chief Medical Officer,

no longer acting. He has deserved this promotion. Colonel Reynolds is being morose, I've asked West to look

into it, make sure that Michael is keeping his priorities straight. If West comes up with nothing, I may have to

send Ensign Vedek Wishi after him. I need him at 100% for the coming operations.

We are attempting to perform a cooperative venture with the Romulans over the planet Pangeare. They are

building a space station that will be capable of opening a hole in the ionized atmosphere, allowing shuttle to

pass through safely. They are in need of supplies and support. Lt Petalosa has been assigned the task of first

close contact, and a new away team has been formed of Colonel Reynolds, Lt. Jack West, Dr Clark, Lini

Cer'dan and Six.

This next month will find us working closely with the Romulans as the station construction gets underway. We

have already ordered up some basic structural materials to build the infrastructure. The Romulans have been

getting regular supply runs from home, but they seem limited. In exchange for helping and supplies, S'Task will

be transferring her Slaves to Cromwell. A ship will meet us, and Transport them to the Stellar Tradewinds

Slave repatriation facility.

I keep returning to a comment made by the Riov of S'Task at our secret meeting; if things should go badly, he

wants me to take his daughter into protection. This both reassures me Cromwell does not face impending

capture, but the venture is definitely on thin ice, I do not know how thin or dangerous this can be though.

Meanwhile: DFA Academy Cadets: How Codey has been escaping has been finally figured out. An

experimental micro wormhole transporter in a lab was being used to beam him out of the cage and into

sensitive locations. Paige Connar and Tas, and the rest of the Delta Six Team work out who is doing this, and

of course, why. They have stumbled upon a Starfleet operation meant to discredit the academy. The Team is

split up and sent out on their senior year to separate ships for their protection, while others are looking into how

deep this infiltration and discrediting operation goes.

Captain's Personal Log: <Begin recording>

Loch, West, and Reynolds travel to the moon to observe S'Task. They open a window in the atmosphere, and

West and Reynolds beam down. They meet up with local Pangeareans, from teh City of Mrei, by accident at

breakfast. West is captured, Michael escapes and returns to see if he can help West. They are questioned

by Kaltas, First Defender of (City-state), and then mind meld with Saris. Jack extracts a lot of information from

this brief encounter, although they entice Michael out of hiding. By the end of the conversation they are freed

to go.

Meanwhile a rogue ship is hurtling towards the Romulan planet and will collide if Cromwell does not stop it. It is

problematic as the engines are becoming unstable, the shields are up, and we have detected a biosign aboard.

Six and Kit work on a way to get through the shields using borg technology, we are able to beam out a chunk of

the ship with a human. Dr Clark stabilizes the patient. Six and Kit attempt carbon radio dating and use Earth

as the standard, which would place the biomechanical parts of the ship at 2.1-3.3 million years ago in earth

history. This on the presumption of an earth human. Genetically it is, but there is no technology for a person of

that time period for that type of advanced stasis. He is a mystery.

Thorn develops a way to deploy a passive probe to the planet. Using the cover of "weather experiments"

Cromwell deploys an ionization cloud, and send the probe in at 1/4 sublight speeds, slow enough that Romulan

Sensors will not detect an actual threat movement. Coding is by Borg communication, which, if detected by the

Romulans would be undecipherable. Six waits patiently for the first transmission.

Dr Clark and Lini work on reviving Bill Kocps, a hero of the early days of interstellar flight. Six and Kit find his

logs, in an autobiography sealed in plastic. Bill Kocps, in sickbay is very sick. He has massive lung damages,

cancer of the lung and blood, Lung infection...and frostbite. Almost everything can be treated by current

medical technology, although the lung damage is irreversible. He remains in a medically induced coma.

Ensign Taylor introduces a virus to the computer. It was non malicious, just curious. Fairly easily shut down

using Jinx's watchdog rograms. However, a new airborn virus was introduced by the opening of a vacuum

sealed book about our guest Bill Kocps. The crew has not detected the threat yet. Dr Clark will soon have his

hands busy.

Through the ion cloud a certain Romulan commander on a secret mission drifts into range of Cromwell. The

ship is brought aboard and the two captains secretly confer about Pangeare, and possibilities. What will come

of this? Romulans are so secretive, that few know what the ongoing high level talks are about.

Captain's Personal Log: <Begin recording> Logs have been delayed, and short.

In an effort to encourage Loch Monroe, I assigned him to assist engineering. The poor boy grabs a super

plasma heated portion of metal receiving severe burns. Our janitorial droid luckily was available to rescue Mr

Monroe, and Dr Clark's rapid treatment probably saved his life. His recovery was rather remarkable, and

needed the best pilot available, I will be sending him with Col Reynolds and Ensign West to the Romulan

border for some investigations.

Loch helps in engineering, Mr Eight cleans the plasma conduits, and saves Loch.

Ensign West and Lt. Selra track a rogue money that disabled a turbolift. Once owned by Marla McGiver, it was

a gift from Brinn. Fenton Mudd, Grandson of Harcourt Fenton Mudd, was selling stuffed animals as gifts, and

sold them to Rhonnda mining colony, Demeter agriculture colony as well as smaller sales at starbase 43, which

were shipped to Brinn for Christmas. Kamaia shakes the captain Mudd's hands, relieving him of some chips.

These chips are replicants of prototype emotions chips from Lore (Of Data fame). It is likely the cause of the

emotional problems these "Fluffies" or stuffed animals have. Six, Kit, West and Sheval find a chaotic cargo

hold with everything strewn about and lots of angry stuffed animals. Thorn finds her Snow Leopard Squeaker

torn up by her service dog Smoke. Sheval challenges Mudds position while escorting him to the transporter to

send him on his way. Either Mudd was slick, or he didn't do it purposely. He will be tracking the Fluffies for a

while, a stiff enough penalty given the option of dealing with the after math of more events precipitated by the

fluffies.

Six has her first performance music, which brought the house to a stand still. Michael lit into his guitar to

reignite the party.

Clark sings, but doesn't jump to the mic. When he does, it's original! Brinn dances, but chooses the wrong

song to ask the question to Rose. Kamaia and Michael briefly discuss business.

Six undergoes training, but fails to learn anything. She does get a weapons upgrade, with a non-leathal setting

added to her disruptor.

Ribbons, Promotions and commendations went out to the crew. Of special note were the promotions of Lt (jg)

Lochlan Monroe, Lt Col Reynolds, and Acting CMO Dr David Clark.

It is the begining of a new day. As of the 1 April, Cromwell is heading to the Romulan Border, perhaps again,

on a fools errand. As most of this is classified, I will close March's log here.
