The situation on L'Thalan is finally coming to a resolution. Loyalists to Premier L'Thalan stormed the palace while his son, Galan, attempted to install himself as the new premier. The Cromwell took advantage of the confusion to rescue their captured forces, including Captain Forrest, and return T'Kram and his party to the surface to assist L'Rhan's forces.

In the ensuing struggle at the palace, both Galan and L'Rhan were killed. But L'Rhan's daughter, M'Van, survived... will she attempt to mend fences with the offworlders? Or will she banish them from their strategically placed planet, never to be seen again?

Back on the ship, Forrest attempted to find out why they'd been attacked by L'Rhan's forces on the surface. He was shocked to hear that not only had his first officer attempted to bully the premier into helping them, but trusted friend and aide Delius had been behind the kidnapping of T'Kram's forces, hoping to use them as leverage for finding him and Carter.

And the Federation ship Ticonderoga has offered an olive branch to the DFA, inviting them for negotations while the situation on L'Thalan's surface sorts itself out. Are their intentions honourable? Will Forrest find out why Delius acted so rashly? Will either side end up with a stake in L'Thalan? Tune in next month!
