The crew works to find a resolution for the slaves, and confronts the Romulans. The slaves on board were just the Tal Shiar taking advantage of an opportunity. The real attack was the Tal Shiar were hunting DFA ships on the boarder using slave psychics. Their goal was to capture the DFA escorts for the space jellyfish, so that they could take control of this lifeform and use it's abilities to transform energy into items on a massive scale. They had grander plans of using the psychic powers for massive conquest.
Cromwell interupted and revealed the plans. Since the Tal Shiar were operating outside Romulan control, the Tal Shair were forced to try and destroy the Cromwell. But Col Dejahs' psychic powers and the Aenar Telepathic powers had awoken the interest of the Nagilum in this alternate universe timeline, who systematically took both parties ships apart searching for and capturing psychics for their own in thier own universe.
With Cromwell being destroyed, the newly sentient Holograms, having been taught self preservation by Lt. Martis and Lt Jinx, decided the best coarse of action was to take all the lifepods and leave the sinking Cromwell.
Ironically, Cromwell crew finds itself on a modern day Titanic, going down, and not enough lifeboats for all they have aboard. Chief engineer Lt. T'Lis buys time for the Cromwell crew saving the ship from immediate destruction.
Q returns "as an observer", and Commander Sesgaard uses the situation, and the history of Q and Picard, to convince Q to send them back, allow them to set the worlds right. Q responds by sending them back to Titanic.
Coming Next Month: The Voyage of Self Discovery
NRPG: On a sad note we lose long time player Lisa. Her death affected many Duty Stations, and Cromwell crew will miss her. As her character was a Vulcan, I will leave with their own blessing. "May your Katra find Peace."
